The best email slicer tools for Klaviyo teams: what to compare
Speed matters, but production teams also need to know what structure survives, what stays editable, what can be reviewed, how accounts are connected and how much work remains after export.
Quick answer
The best email slicer depends on your production workflow: where designs come from (Figma or flat images), whether you need editable Klaviyo text or image-only slices, whether a person reviews structure before export, how many client accounts you manage and where the email is sent.
Tools built for Klaviyo now cover a range — from fast image slicing with manual cuts, to Figma plugins that push native blocks, to reviewed production workflows that recover editable copy and route exports to the right account. The landscape below shows each one’s stated approach.
No tool here is declared the objective winner. We have not completed a same-input benchmark, so the most reliable test is your own approved design.

Direct shortlist of Klaviyo slicing products
Four products that turn a finished email design into a Klaviyo template. Listed for fit, not ranked. Several of them offer operator review, OAuth or multi-brand work in some form — check each 1-to-1 page for the scoped details.
Email-Slicer
- Best fit
- Approved Figma, JPG or PNG designs that need a reviewed structure before export.
- Editability
- Eligible copy from flat images can become editable Klaviyo text; design-sensitive regions stay image slices.
Carvr
- Best fit
- Figma-plugin teams and senders who also use Omnisend or Mailchimp.
- Editability
- Opt-in Live Text Blocks for text-only, solid-background sections from its Figma plugin; web-app image uploads become image slices.
Email Snipper
- Best fit
- Flat PNG/JPG with manually positioned cuts and campaign assembly.
- Editability
- Public positioning focuses on sliced images and reusable blocks, not automatic text recovery.
Slicely
- Best fit
- Figma or flat designs sliced into native Klaviyo blocks, with a footer builder.
- Editability
- Slices become native blocks you can reorder or replace; its Footer Builder converts image footers into live text.

Emailify vs Email-Slicer: Figma HTML building or reviewed design handoff?
Emailify, by Hypermatic, is a Figma plugin for designing responsive HTML emails in Figma. The email is built from its Figma components, exported as responsive HTML and uploaded to Klaviyo through its documented integration using a Klaviyo private API key. Its documentation also describes an optional editable-content setting.
Email-Slicer starts later, from an approved design — a JPG or PNG, or Figma where your plan includes it. It proposes a structure for human review, recovers editable content where supported, and creates a Klaviyo template through OAuth. These are different workflows; neither is shown here to be faster or better. Compare both rows in the landscape table above.
The production-grade evaluation standard
How to evaluate an email slicer
Design input
Figma, flat JPG or PNG, or a specific design tool only?
Automatic slicing
Does it propose sections and columns, or are all cuts manual?
Alt text and links
Are alt text and link targets set per section and per column before export?
Mobile handling
Can desktop and mobile image variants be reviewed before export?
Reusable content
Can recurring headers, footers or blocks be reused across emails?
Pricing and free evaluation
Can you test the full workflow on a real design before paying? Check each vendor’s current terms.
Structure recovery
Does it understand more than image boundaries?
Editability
What remains practical to edit inside the ESP?
Human review
Can the production operator inspect and correct decisions before export?
Input workflow
Does the tool require a specific source format or design tool?
Account workflow
How are credentials, brands and destinations handled?
Output usability
What does the team receive after export, and what work remains?
Reliability and persistence
Does real work survive the full workflow without losing state?

How to choose an email slicer
Use one real, approved email your team already produces. Run it through each shortlisted tool and inspect the template inside Klaviyo, not only the preview in the tool.
- Check what arrived as editable text and what arrived as images
- Count the corrections needed to slices, columns, links and alt text
- Confirm how the tool connects to Klaviyo and which account it published to
- Check desktop and mobile rendering in Klaviyo’s preview and test sends
- Note who on the team can review and approve before export
- Compare free evaluation terms and plan limits on each vendor’s current site
Email slicer vs HTML email builder
An HTML email builder is where an email is designed or coded. An email slicer starts later, from a design that is already approved, and turns it into production sections for the ESP. If your team hand-codes emails, a builder fits. If you receive finished designs from designers or clients, a slicer removes the rebuild.
Email slicer vs Figma-to-Klaviyo tool
Figma-to-Klaviyo tools start from a Figma frame, often through a plugin. An email slicer starts from the approved design, which may come from Figma or be a flat JPG or PNG from any tool. Some products do both. The practical differences are input flexibility, how much stays editable, and whether there is a review step before Klaviyo.

Methodology and sources
Product capabilities, pricing and packaging change. This comparison library uses publicly available information from each product’s own website alongside Email-Slicer’s current product state. We do not publish comparative speed, quality or rework claims until the same-input benchmark is complete.
Carvr publicly states that it was formerly Grotto Slice, so it appears once under its current brand. Directory and download-site listings are not treated as separate products. Where a vendor publishes superlative marketing language, we do not restate it here as an objective fact.
